Rajasthan’s Technical Education Minister Dr. Subhash Garg said in the Vidhan Sabha on Monday that regular classes for the year 2022-23 in Kota’s Triple IT (IIIT Kota) will be started by December 31, 2022. Dr. Garg was replying to supplementary questions asked by the members in this regard during the Question Hour.
The Technical Education Minister informed that Triple IT will be operated in PPP mode, under which Government of India has 50 percent stake, State Government has 35 percent and four private sector companies have 15 percent stake in Triple IT. He told that the Government of India and the State Government have given their due money, while the dues of one of the four Genie companies are yet to be paid.
Earlier, Dr. Garg, in a written reply to the original question of member Sandeep Sharma, said that the construction work for Triple IT Phase A by the Central Public Works Department has been started from 1 October 2020 and Phase B construction work has been started from 4 January 2021. He said that in the eighth meeting of the Governing Council of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kota, held on February 24, 2022, the Central Public Works Department has been asked to speed up the construction work and the institute to purchase furniture and fixtures, machinery and equipment and establish laboratories etc. Instructions have been given to complete the work necessarily by 30 September 2022 so that administrative and educational activities can be started by 31 December 2022 by shifting the institute to Kota. Dr. Garg informed that during the review of the eighth meeting of the Governing Council of Triple IT held on 24th February 2022, the Chief Secretary, on behalf of the Governing Board, restricted the Central Public Works Department to complete the construction work completely on time. has gone. He said that for the timely completion of the construction work, while closely monitoring the progress and quality of work by the institute, the Chief Secretary should be kept informed about the progress and quality of work from time to time and involved in the process of operation of the institute. All the components have been compulsorily restricted to be completed before the completion of the construction of this complex. He laid its details on the Table of the House.
The Technical Education Minister said that the rules for the recruitment of academic and non-teaching staff would soon be approved by the concerned Ministry of the Government of India and submitted to the Board so that the entire recruitment process could be completed by December 31, 2022 and all administrative, academic and non-academic activities of the institute. In the upcoming academic session 2022-23, the permanent campus can be operated from the quota.
