What did Ajay Devgan say on The Kashmir Files?
At the trailer launch of Runway 34, Ajay Devgn was asked about the secret of the success of The Kashmir Files. He was directly asked whether nowadays only stories based on true events can bring the audience to the theatre? On this question, Ajay Devgan said, ‘No, it is not like this, it is not only in India.. It is in the whole world. Like I have done before in films like The Legend of Bhagat Singh, some stories are so inspirational and sometimes the truth is so amazing that you can’t write fiction like that. Ajay Devgan further said, ‘The idea is not to find a true incident… when you hear it, you feel that this very extraordinary thing happened and its truth should be exposed to the world. That’s why we took it, otherwise we write and make up the stories ourselves.
