New Delhi: Actor Anjum Batra, who played the role of drummer Kesar Singh Tikki in ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’, has praised directors Imtiaz Ali and Diljit Dosanjh and called them ‘God’s favorite children’. Talking about her experience of working with them, Anjum said, ‘Diljit and Imtiaz are God’s favorite children. My experience working with him has been wonderful. He has a wonderful aura.
The actor has previously worked with actress Parineeti Chopra in ‘Namaste England’. However, he is working with Diljit for the first time. Anjum Batra said, ‘When I met Diljit on the first day, he welcomed me very nicely and made me feel very comfortable on the set. Rab de bande hai woh, I never felt that I was working with a superstar.
The actor said about Imtiaz, ‘Imtiaz makes things so easy for you that you feel that your character is flowing like water. He is extremely talented and down to earth. ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ is a film based on the true story of the late Punjabi singer of the same name, who was murdered along with his wife in 1988. The film is streaming on Netflix.
