Paying tribute to Kishore Kumar, shared a mashup version of his famous song
Mumbai, (IANS)| Ayushmann Khurrana on Wednesday took to social media to pay an emotional tribute to veteran singer-actor Kishore Kumar on his birthday. Congratulating the late Kishore Kumar on his birth anniversary, Ayushmann sang Kishore Kumar’s popular song ‘Chhookar Mere Mann Ko’ with a mashup of ‘Moh Moh Ke Dhaage’ from his film ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ in a short video post.
The singer-actor wrote that he could not sleep last night as it was Kishore Kumar’s birthday. “Happy Birthday Kishore Da. I didn’t sleep all night and then recorded it early in the morning.” Ayushmann is currently shooting for ‘Doctor Ji’ in Bhopal, which is also the birthplace of Kishore Kumar. The actor wrote about this coincidence, I am in his kingdom. Bhopal is treating me well. Khandwa, his birthplace, is just two hours away from here.”
Dressed in a casual T-shirt, Ayushmann is accompanied by pianist Akshay Varma who coached the actor for ‘Andhadhun’ and now ‘Doctor Ji’. He wrote, “Welcome Akshayvarma. My musician friend, who trained me for piano in Andhadhun. And now he is training me to speak for Dr. Ji. Till now I sing ‘Tu jo kahe jeevan bhar tere liye main’. ‘ A song by an artist who is immortal. Hashtag Happy Birthday Kishore Da.”
