New Delhi| In the year 2015 Bollywood star Salman Khan’s film Bajrangi Bhaijaan came and the film did such a charisma that it settled in everyone’s heart. Bajrangi Bhaijaan was directed by director Kabir Khan and it has been almost 7 years since the film was released. The story of the film was written by KV Vijayendra Prasad. The film made a splash at the box office and did a business of more than Rs 900 crores. While the film did good business and made a place in the hearts of the audience, the film became a cult classic. Talking to Pinkvilla, screenwriter KV Vijayendra Prasad has confirmed that soon the audience will also see the second part of Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad said that he has narrated the outline of the story to Bhai (Salman Khan) and Salman has liked the story. Now the ball is in their court to give the date of the film. Vijayendra Prasad has also told that the story of the sequel will start from where Bajrangi Bhaijaan ended. Yes it is a different matter that the story will start after passing through a gap of 7 to 10 years. Vijayendra Prasad has named the film as Pawan Putra Bhaijaan.
Recalling the movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Vijayendra Prasad says, “I narrated this story to my son i.e. Rajamouli before narrating the story to Salman Bhai, then tears started flowing from his eyes. I asked him to keep the story but he said that I can give it to someone else. Once the film was released, he came to me and said, you asked me at the wrong time. I was busy shooting the climax of the first chapter of Baahubali at that time, the situation was different. If you had asked me 10 days earlier or later, I would have definitely directed the film.
Vijayendra Prasad tells that he got the idea of this film after watching the Telugu film Pasivadi Pranam in which Chiranjeevi played the lead role, and the Telugu film itself was a remake of the Malayalam film Pooveenu Puthiya Punni. Vijayendra said, I liked that film and one of my colleague told me, make a film where danger comes from Pakistan, and we make our hero Bajrangi Bhakt. Then the story was about our hero going to Pakistan and cursing Pakistan. But my mind did not agree to this, we wanted to do something without cursing Pakistan. The intention was to make such a film which would not increase the enmity between the two countries but reduce it.
When Vijayendra Prasad was writing the story, Salman was not in his mind but when Salman heard the story and then everything went smoothly. Currently, Salman Khan is busy shooting for the film Bhaijaan which is likely to release on December 30. Apart from this, his Tiger 3 is also ready to come on Eid in the year 2023. Salman Khan can also be seen doing films with the director of No Entry 2, Dabangg 4 and South.
