Police has registered an FIR against an unknown person who shared fake video of Aamir Khan on social media. In the deepfake video, the actor is shown campaigning for a political party. Aamir Khan’s office identified it as a deepfake video and lodged a complaint with the police, after which the police took strict action in this matter.

After a complaint was lodged by Aamir Khan’s office, Khar police station on Wednesday registered a case under sections 149, 420 and IT Act. The accused can be punished under these sections. The video that went viral featured a 31-second clip of the actor promoting a political party. The video was created using AI technology.

Harish Meena of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee has reacted to the growing controversy over Aamir Khan’s supporting Congress video posted on his X handle. The caption of the video reads, “Every citizen of India is a millionaire because everyone should have at least 15 lakhs… If you do not have 15 lakhs in your account then where has your 15 lakhs gone? Be careful of such troublemakers.” Or it could harm you.” Aamir Khan’s team said that this video is false. They accused him of manipulating the video using AI from the promo of an episode of Aamir’s show “Satyamev Jayate”.

In the 31-second video, Aamir Khan can be heard saying that every citizen in India is a millionaire. In the last frame of the video, a political party symbol can be seen with the words “Vote for Justice, Vote for Congress”. This message is also heard in the background audio. According to the official statement from Aamir Khan’s office, the ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ actor has never supported any political party during his 35-year-old career. He has occasionally raised awareness about voting rights.
