Neha Dhupia said, ‘I have been pregnant before. During Mehr’s (Neha Dhupia’s daughter) time I had to make my job. Then I did my podcasts and non-fiction TV shows. I have always worked till the end. But the industry always changes. I was a part of a few projects before announcing the pregnancy. But later I was fired from those projects. Was there anything wrong with it?’
Neha Dhupia further said, ‘Body changes happen and then you don’t want to play that character. It also happens that the people who hired you don’t want you to look that way. And the same happened.’
Neha Dhupia also told in this interview that how did she get the film ‘A Thursday’? He said that I had lost all projects even during the second wave (COVID-19). That was my last attempt. Then I had given up. Then I told them (the film’s team) that I am five months pregnant and will you keep me or do you want to change? It’s your choice because it’s your film. Then he answered me in a minute that we don’t want to change you.
Talking about the film, ‘A Thursday’ has been released on Disney Plus Hotstar. Yami Gautam plays the character of Naina Jaiswal in this film, which is a teaser. She takes 16 children hostage in the film and demands five crores. At the same time, Neha Dhupia is playing the role of ACP Catherine Alvarez in the film.
