Seoul, Sep 10 (IANS)| Blackpink’s Lisa is the latest member of the K-pop girl group to make her solo debut with her solo album ‘Lalisa’. Which was released on Friday. Sharing the announcement on Instagram, the singer wrote, “Lisa’s first solo album ‘Lalisa’ has been released.” After releasing several video teasers, the 24-year-old singer released a two-song project with the title track ‘Lalisa’ and another song ‘Money’. Teddy and Bekuh Boom have written and composed the title track of ‘Lalisa’.
Lisa is the third member of Blackpink to release solo material. Jenny was the first to release her single titled ‘Solo’ in 2018. Rose released her project ‘R’ in March 2021, with the US #1 smashes ‘On the Ground’ and ‘Gone’ on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Exclusive. According to Billboard.com, the group’s label YG Entertainment confirmed last year that Jisoo would be the last member to make their solo debut. Blackpink is a South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment, consisting of members Jisoo, Jenny, Rose and Lisa. The group debuted in August 2016 with their solo album “Square One”. Lisa will perform “Lalisa” on Friday on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
