The premiere date for the second season of the Netflix period drama Bridgerton has been announced. Now Netflix has revealed that the new season of the show will feature a cover version of a famous Bollywood song. The show is going to include the cover of the title track of Karan Johar’s film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’. The cover has been composed by Chris Bowers.
Let us tell you that ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ was one of the biggest Bollywood blockbusters of its time. The film earned more than 136 crores at the box office. It starred Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Jaya Bachchan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor. The title track of the film will be recreated in Bridgeton. The song was composed by Jatin Lalit. The song was sung by Lata Mangeshkar.
Also in the coming season a cover version of songs including Nirvana’s Stay Away, Madonna’s Material Girl, Rihanna’s Diamonds, Robbins Dancing on Mine, Alanis Morissette’s You Augta Know, Harry Styles’ Sign of the Times, Calvin Harris’ Will happen. Bridgerton’s first season was also filled with classical covers of hits, including Maroon 5’s Girls Like You, Shawn Mendes in My Blood, Taylor Swift’s Wildest Dreams, among many others.
The show is based on the relationship between the Bridgerton siblings. Who roam in London in search of love. The teaser of the upcoming season was unveiled on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.
