Mumbai: Bollywood actor and singer Ayushmann Khurrana has come a long way in showbiz. The actor has played many memorable roles in his career so far. Out of which ‘Andhadhun’, released in 2018, is counted among the most successful and best films of his career. Ayushmann received a lot of praise for this dark comedy. Now the actor recently revealed about the film and told how he ‘snatched’ the film from Sriram Raghavan. He also revealed how Raghavan initially felt that he was not ‘fit’ for the role.
Mashable In an interview, Ayushmann Khurrana told how he had to roll a lot of papads for this cult classic. Ayushmann says- ‘I have snatched this film from him.’ I have worked in films. For outsiders, it is important to give 100 percent to establish a foothold in the industry and I am still doing the same. I came to know that he was writing and producing this film, so I went to his office and told him that I want to do this film and he said I don’t see you in this film.
‘Anubhav Sinha also told me the same for Article 15. He also said that I don’t see you in this film and I asked him to audition me. When you are a successful actor you are not asked for auditions. Whereas, in the West, no matter how successful you become, you have to give auditions. So I have no shame about it. If you have confidence in your work and your skills then why can’t you give an audition.

The actor revealed that Sriram had auditioned him without his knowledge. “They said, ‘We will jam these scenes’. In a way, he was auditioning me. I was like, ‘Let’s do this.’ There was this excitement inside me. Whenever a film comes to me, I consider it as my first film. It seems like this is the first project. Have to give it your all. Unless you have this enthusiasm, there is no fun in life.”
