We are going to introduce you to a 12-year-old artist from Mathura, who when she saw her grandfather playing the musical instrument, she got excited and took steps towards music practice. Now she plays more than 10 musical instruments.
There was an atmosphere of music in the house of 12 year old Aarohi Aggarwal, living in Mahavidya Colony near Mathura Krishna Janmasthan Temple, from the very beginning. His grandfather Rajendrakrishna was a well-known musician of Mathura. Seeing him, Aarohi also started her musical journey.
Grandfather and granddaughter receive national award together
Aarohi told that she has been playing different types of musical instruments since the age of 4. Once when some people came to meet her grandfather at home, they recognized Aarohi’s art of playing musical instruments. Aarohi also sang songs in 4 different languages, which impressed the people and they recorded a video of Aarohi and took it away. Aarohi’s art impressed him so much that along with his grandfather, he honored his granddaughter with the A.P.J. Abdul Kalam National Music Award on the same stage in 2016.
Plays more than 10 musical instruments
Aarohi’s grandfather Rajendra Krishna told that she started playing 8 musical instruments at the age of 4. Today, at the age of 12, he has mastered more than 10 musical instruments. These include harmonium, tabla, congo, bongo, chongo, patti tarang, harmophone, xylophone, flute and guitar.
