The High Court has given its verdict regarding the Hijab controversy in Karnataka. The court, while dismissing the petition of the girl students, said that hijab is not a mandatory part of Islam religion. Students cannot refuse to wear their school-college uniform. Wearing hijab is not compulsory in Islam. After this decision of the court, the stir on Twitter has intensified.
Critic and Bollywood actor Kamal R. Khan, who has his opinion on every major issue, has questioned this decision of the Karnataka Court. Kamal R. Khan tweeted and wrote, “According to the Karnataka High Court, girls cannot wear hijab in school-college. Thousands of girls will leave their studies after this decision. I think this decision does not support ‘Beti Padhao Beti Bachao’. Please note that hijab is only a scarf to cover the head.”
After this, in another tweet, KRK wrote, “Karnataka High Court said that Hijab is not mandatory in Islam. How? Tomorrow the court will say that the cap is also not a necessary part of Islam. After a few days the judge will say that even a beard is not a part of Islam. Then how did saffron clothes become a part of Hinduism?
Kamal R. Users are giving their reactions after Khan’s tweet. A user named MJ wrote, “Hijab, burqa and cap are not banned in India and never will be. But they are not allowed to be worn in schools-colleges, armed forces and police forces. Hijab is allowed only in Islamic educational institutions like Jamia, Amu and Madrasa.
A user named unemployed Ajit wrote, “No, saffron is not mandatory in Hinduism. This is a person’s choice and should not be allowed in the school. There should be only a dress code.” Harshit wrote, “Who said saffron is mandatory in Hinduism?”
Vishal R. He wrote, “If the decision did not come in your interest, then it got chilly. Otherwise, you keep on shouting the Constitution and the Constitution. Look no one is against hijab but one should follow where the dress code is prescribed. You deliberately refer to Yogiji, but forget Owaisi with a beard and a cap.”
