Academy Award (Oscar) winner John Zaritsky has died of heart failure. His age was 79 years. On March 30, he breathed his last at Vancouver General Hospital in Canada, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

In 1983, John Zaritsky was awarded the Oscar for the documentary ‘Just Another Missing Kid’. Apart from the Oscar, he was also honored with the ‘Cable Ace Award’ for ‘Rapists: Can They Be Stopped’ and ‘Golden Gavel Award’ for ‘My Husband is Going to Kill Me’.

The documentary ‘Just Another Missing Kid’ was based on Canadian college students who go missing while visiting the US. The documentary also features parents trying to find children.
