New Delhi. Leena Manimekalai, who came into the limelight after the controversy surrounding the poster of the documentary film Kaali, is embroiled in controversies. Recently Leena Manimekalai shared a poster in which mother was seen smoking black cigarette. Along with this, the LGBTQ flag was also visible in the hands of Maa Kali. Leena came under the target of people ever since this poster surfaced. There has been a demand for the arrest of Leena, as well as FIRs have been lodged against her in states like Delhi, UP and Mumbai. Apart from this, the Delhi Court has also sent summons (ie call to appear) against the filmmaker.

Due to the controversy over the film Kali, now a Delhi court has issued summons to the filmmaker Manimekalai and others for August 6 i.e. now they have to appear in the Delhi court by August 6. In the appeal filed by one of the parties, a demand has been made to stop the poster and video. The plaintiffs say that the poster hurts religious sentiments and is against the moral values of morality and decency. The court has extended the hearing of the case till August 6.
Leena had also made frequent tweets without apologizing after the controversy over Maa Kali. In a tweet, he had put a photo of two rural actors. In which artists in the form of Shiva and Parvati were drinking beedis. Later, Leena wrote in a tweet that mother Kali is ‘queer’ for her. That is, she is going to stand against patriarchy. After such tweets, there was more uproar on social media against Leena.
Directly, he neither apologized for the poster of the film nor talked about changing it, but has openly said things that bring the country down. He said those things which come out of the western countries and grow in their country and become the cause of mutual hatred.
