If nature is kept at the center during the development of these areas in terms of tourism, then the possibilities of eco-tourism increase further. These places of confluence of nature, culture and adventure will become the center of attraction for tourists from all over the country and the world. For this, the government has started making eco-tourism promotion policy. Irrigation, Forest, AYUSH, Rural Development and other related departments will have an important participation in this preparation along with the tourism department. On July 10, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also directed the concerned departments to take coordinated initiatives in this regard.

According to an estimate, about 35 percent of the tourists visiting the holidays prefer to go on eco-holidays. The condition is that according to them, there should be necessary basic facilities at the respective places. Incidentally, there are many places in Uttar Pradesh with beautiful natural scenery. For example, the Terai region of the state is very rich in terms of biological diversity. The dense forests here are natural habitats for tigers, elephants, deer, crocodiles, dolphins and many species of endangered birds due to the abundant water resources available in them. The forests of Dudhwa, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri and Katarnia Ghat are the reservoirs of biological diversity. Every year a large number of tourists from all over the country and abroad come to see this biological diversity. Similarly, the Fossil Park of Sonbhadra, which preserves the history of the beginning of human life, also attracts tourists interested in knowing the history of nature. The 150 million year old fossils here are the subject of research for the world. Spread over 25 hectares, this Fasils Park is bigger than Yellow Stone Park in America. Because of this, it is included in the largest fossil park in the world.

Bakhira Sanctuary, Chandraprabha Wildlife Sanctuary, Hastinapur Wildlife Sanctuary, Kaimur Sanctuary, Kisanpur Wildlife Sanctuary, Mahaveer Swami Sanctuary, National Chambal Wildlife Sanctuary, Parvati Agra Bird Sanctuary, Ranipur Sanctuary, Sagaran Sohgibara Sanctuary, Sagar Sohgibarwa Sanctuary, Vijaya Sukhu There is also a lot of potential for natural tourism in places like Sanctuary. All these are also mentioned in the Tourism Policy 2018. The Wildlife and Eco-tourism circuit was also one of the 12 circuits mentioned in the Tourism Policy-2018, which came in the first term of Yogi Adityanath, for the development of all these places very rich in terms of environment. The series of works started for the development of basic facilities in this circuit will continue in Yogi-2.0 as well. These places will attract the attention of the people, for this there will be full emphasis on their promotion. In this sequence, on May 22, the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change organized a state level seminar on Biodiversity Day.
Saubhari forest area of Braj will also entice tourists
Soon the Saubhari forest, which reminds of Radha-Krishna, Krishna and Gwal-Bal of Braj region, will also be inaugurated. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath often says that nature and God have infinite compassion on Uttar Pradesh. In view of these possibilities, the Chief Minister gave necessary instructions regarding the formation of Eco Tourism Board in the meeting of 10th July. Even before this, a few days after taking oath as the Chief Minister again, during the presentation of the departments related to the urban development sector before the cabinet, he had reiterated his point that Eco-tourism Board should be formed to shape the possibilities. . Along with the conservation of heritage trees, the Kukkrail picnic spot in Lucknow should be further improved. There are many possibilities of eco tourism here. Since his first term, his intention has been to make Uttar Pradesh the country’s favorite destination for eco-tourism. Under this, its scope is being expanded by adding village tourism in view of 9 types of agro-climatic zones (agro-climatic zones) of the state.
Such will be the structure of the eco-tourism board
The Chief Minister advises that the tourism department should be the nodal agency of the proposed Eco-Tourism Board. In this, the ministers of the concerned departments, Additional Chief Secretary / Principal Secretary, Director General / Director as well as qualified officers and experts of the Indian Forest Service should be included.
Local youth will get training for nature guide
Propagation of tourism and cultural heritage values by the board, skill building of local communities for hospitality, preparation of travel itinerary for tourists, promotion of eco-tourism sites, environmental forest and climate change for undertaking projects Work like coordinating with the department will be done.
Eligible youth will be selected and trained as ‘nature guides’ from the local people in eco-tourism, wildlife and other forestry works. With their consent, proper settlement of the villages situated in the middle of the forests inhabited by wild animals will also be done.
