After the release of the film The Kashmir Files, the atrocities against Kashmiri Pandits have come into the limelight again. Now the tweets of Kashmiri writer and aquitist Javed Baig are viral. He has apologized to Kashmiri Pandits with folded hands on social media. He says that the youth should accept the mistakes made by their parents. There has been a crime with the pundits. Kashmiri Muslims took up guns in the name of independence. Javed said that this is not propaganda but reality. He said that the truth remains the truth whether someone tells it or not.
Pakistan gave guns in the name of freedom
Social media is divided into two parts regarding The Kashmir Files. Some people are calling the film propaganda and anti-Muslim, while many are also in support. Now some tweets of Kashmiri Muslim writer Javed Baig are in the headlines. In a tweet, he has written, I am a Kashmiri Muslim. Our sister Church was torn to pieces in the life of Tikku. This was done by Kashmiri Muslim families in whose hands Pakistan had given guns in the name of independence. This is true not propaganda. I apologize to the Pandit fraternity with folded hands.

Said – the truth will remain the truth, I am ashamed
Javed has made another tweet, even if no one speaks the truth, it remains true. Everyone keeps telling a lie, yet it remains a lie. I am a witness to the first massacre of Kashmiri Pandits which took place on the day of Navroz on 21st March 1997 in my hometown of Sangrampora Beerwah. I feel sad and ashamed.
I have seen unarmed murders
A clip of Javed is also viral. In this, he is seen speaking from a news channel, the area of Beerwah I belong to. The first massacre took place on March 21. Dozens of Kashmiri Pandits were killed in this. I’ve seen that. Nor were they stopping freedom. Nor were they killing any Kashmiri Muslim. There were unarmed people. One of them was the headmaster of the area. A young man like me came in the teacher list after his martyrdom. If that isn’t murder, then what is? What you are doing to unarmed people is not an atrocity, so what is the people who killed Kashmiri Pandits, they were our own people, from our own settlements.

The duty of Islam is to save non-Muslims in trouble.
Kashmiri Pandits were no non. We have our own blood. We are our race. Even animals do not kill animals. The mistakes that my father’s generation did, as a progressive youth, we must admit that sins have been committed. For this we all should collectively apologize to Kashmiri Pandits. No movie is needed for this. For this only conscience is needed. It is also written in Islam that if there is a war somewhere and there is a non-Muslim in your area, then it is your duty to protect his honour, life and property.
