New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry said on Thursday that 2,539 cases of corona were reported in India in the last 24 hours, which is marginally less than the previous day’s 2,876.
At the same time, more than 60 deaths were also recorded in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the active cases have come down to 30,799, which is 0.07 per cent of the total positive cases in the country.
A total of 4,491 patients have been cured in the last 24 hours and the total number of cured patients since the start of the pandemic is 4,24,54,546. As a result, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.73 per cent.
Also, a total of 7,17,330 tests were conducted across the country in the same period. India has done more than 78.12 crore tests so far.
There has also been a steady decline in weekly and daily positivity rates. The weekly positivity rate in the country is currently 0.42 percent and the daily positivity rate is reported to be 0.35 percent.
On the immunization front, India’s COVID vaccination coverage has crossed 180.80 crores as of 7 am today, as per reports. This has been achieved through 2,12,61,666 sessions.
Over 3 lakh adolescents have been given the first dose of the COVID vaccine in the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry, more than 17.32 crore remaining and unused vaccine doses are still available with the states and union territories.
