One of the most popular small screen serials, CID’s Lata Mangeshkar did not miss a single episode. Even if an episode was missed due to some reason, Lata would definitely watch its repeat telecast. Actor Narendra Gupta, who played the role of forensic expert Dr. Salunke in the CID serial, had told some interesting things related to Lataji a few years ago. According to him, Lataji was a big fan of CID serial. Lataji and his entire family have been a huge fan of CID. Be it Ashaji or Ushaji, Meenaji and Hridaynath Mangeshkar.
According to Narendra Gupta, when the CID serial was closed, Lataji did not like it at all. He asked us many times, our director-producer BP Singh, the reason for this. Once he had called the channel itself to start the serial again.

The telecast of CID started on 21 January 1998 and till 28 October 1998 it had telecast 1547 episodes. Her pictures with the cast of this show are still present on Lata Mangeshkar’s Twitter account. In one of the pictures, Lata ji is seen taunting the cast of the show in a dramatic fashion. Seeing his innocent smile in this picture will bring a smile to anyone’s face. Veteran actor Shivaji Satam, who plays ACP Pradyuman, is also seen in the show, who is supporting Lata ji’s action with both hands up.
This picture was posted by Lata ji on the birthday of Shivaji Satam. When she turned 70, Lata Mangeshkar wished her a happy birthday by sharing her photo with him. Also expressed the desire to start the CID serial again. With this post, he wrote, ‘Hello. Today is the birthday of CID serial’s ACP Pradyumna Shivajirao Satam ji. I congratulate him a lot and it is my wish that the CID serial should start again.
