Earlier this month, Manoj’s new web series ‘Dial 100’ was premiered on Zee5.
New Delhi, Aug 28 (IANS) | Manoj Bajpayee has given many memorable performances, one of which is the thriller ‘Who?’, which released in 1999. The National Award winning actor has revealed why he would not star in the remake if the film ever gets made. ‘Who?’ a psychological thriller directed by Ram Gopal Varma. It also starred Urmila Matondkar and Sushant Singh in lead roles.
The film is the story of a serial killer and another man locked in the same house on a stormy evening. Asked if he would like to work in the remake of the film, Manoj told IANS, “‘Who?’ People were mesmerized when it released. Till now people talk about the film, which is tremendous. You do something 22 years ago and people still talk about it in great detail. They remember it very clearly.”
The talented actor has described it as ‘great acceptance and encouragement’. He says, “But I don’t think I will be a part of the remake, it is too boring. A story that you have already done.. Instead of doing it again, it is better to do something new. Get someone else involved in it. It should happen and he should use the role in his own way. He can be better than me.” Manoj’s latest release ‘Dial 100’ premiered on ZEE5 earlier this month. It also stars Neena Gupta and Sakshi Tanwar.
