Films are released amidst huge protests and most of the films prove to be superhit. Now another film is facing huge opposition. This movie is a Nepali movie named Kabaddi-4. The film is facing huge protests in many areas of Nepal and Sikkim. The people of Buddhism are opposing the film. People of Buddhism say that the film should not be allowed to release.
Film protests in Sikkim and Nepal
Sikkimese Buddhist cleric Ondi Pinto and his followers are strongly opposing the film. He says that if the film is released then the result will not be right. If this happens, it will be broken into theaters and we will not be responsible for all this. The Sikkim Lama Association has decided to talk to the Sikkim Chief Minister PS Tamang to ban the film. Their demand is that the film should not be made Gangtok and Namchi and it should be banned. For this the association is also going to write a letter to the Chief Minister.
Sadhu was slapped by the actress
Buddhist cleric Ondi Pinto says the film has shaken the faith of all lamas. It’s like attacking them straight away. The character of Lama played by Dayang Rai in the film has attacked our sentiments. This is injustice to us. Now the time has come..we should together raise our voice against this. Let us tell you that there is a ruckus about the film in Kathmandu as well. Kabaddi 4 actress Miruna Magar was accused of allegedly slapping after which the posters of the film were burnt. Let us tell you that last week the promotion of the film was kept at Civil Mall of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-11. Where sadhu Phurba Tamang touched the actress inappropriately during the event. After which the monk was arrested. Protests against the film have been going on since this arrest. The opponents first demanded Tamang’s release, after which the actress was also asked to apologize. However, the matter was settled with mutual consent from both the sides.
