Every day some new news is coming out about Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’. Many questions are being raised regarding the story of this film. However, this film is being liked a lot by the audience. The film depicts the injustice done to Kashmiri Pandits in the year 1990. The film is about to cross the 150 crore mark at the box office.
The film has been made tax free in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat. Meanwhile, Haryana CM has announced to show this film free of cost in his state. Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri expressed his displeasure. He requested the Haryana CM not to show the film for free.
Vivek Agnihotri tweeted while sharing a poster. In which it was written, “Warning: It is a crime to show #TheKashmirFiles open and free like this. Dear @mlkhattar ji, I request you to stop this. Political leaders should respect creative business and true nationalism and social service means buying tickets in a legal and peaceful manner.”
People have given different reactions to this tweet of his. Rajeev Nigam wrote, “Brother says Kashmiri Pandits and films have their place and business should not play with it.” Prabhakar Kumar Mishra wrote, “Why? You said that earning money is not your aim! The truth is reaching more and more people, you should be happy on this!” wrote Sujata, “You have made the film only for the BJP, don’t you, then do “Tera tujhko arpan…” give up the illusion.”
Vivek Pal Singh wrote, “For whom you made the film, now they are promoting your film, what is the problem even for free? Why money in national interest? Show for free Should be free in the whole country. Paisa Kis Baat Ke is a film of national interest.
Shakil wrote, “As far as I understand the film is being shown and not seen. I request all the members of the producers of this film to give money earned from this film to Kashmiri Pandits for their rehabilitation. I hope those who have tears in their eyes will understand.
