Phone Bhoot is a Hindi language horror comedy film which has been released today i.e. on 4th November. Here we will review this film for you, tell about some good points and bad points of the film so that you can decide whether you should watch this film or not. So let’s start the review of the film Phone Bhoot (Phone Bhoot Movie Review).
role of characters
Katrina Kaif plays a ghostly character named Ragini in the film. Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi play Gullu and Major and both are very special friends. In the film, you also get to see Jackie Shroff at the end, whose name is Atmaram and he remains the master of ghosts. Apart from this, Sheeba Chaddha and Nidhi Bisht have also played their respective roles.
what is the story
The story is very complicated. The story does not run with a definite goal. There are two boys who are Vale and are great friends. There is nothing to do in his life, so he is interested in ghosts. Generally people get scared seeing ghosts but these boys are not afraid of ghosts but work to get them salvation. Ragini commands over these two boys. As I mentioned both Gullu and Major are best friends and both are Veles. We make money with father’s money, but now both of them have stopped giving money. From above, Rs 5 crore has been demanded separately for the expenditure so far. Both the boys announce to give 5 crore rupees to their respective fathers. But how will you earn? They do not have the money to pay the milkman.
In such a situation, Ragini tells them that both of them should do the work of exorcism and for that they take money from people for exorcism. They choose that job. First we do it alone, then slowly Ragini also gets along. But these people have to earn money, in such a situation why is a ghost i.e. Ragini helping them. That’s because Ragini has her own long story. Together, these three work to exorcise the ghosts of others and get salvation and in the end, Gullu and Major Ragini also get salvation, but they themselves are left empty handed.
how is the story
I have told you about the story above, you can decide from there how the story is. Such is the story, “tangled”. Somewhere there are screws, somewhere fighting. The screenplay connection is not from one end to the other at all. The dialogues and characters don’t go together at all. Yes, a little bit – entertainment. But is all this enough? Let us tell about the film point wise and you decide for yourself whether the film is worth watching or not.
- When you sit on your seat in the theatre, you may be a little excited but the comedy dialogues of the beginning do not make you laugh that much.
- At one point, Ragini i.e. Katrina tells Gullu and Major that they are ghosts. Hearing this, Gullu and Major start laughing and together you also start laughing. Not on the dialogues and scenes in the film, but on the script.
- In the beginning two to three times your attention is diverted from the screen and the screenwriter also gets angry that why made such a film, why wrote this kind of writing?
- After a while, the story of the film starts to grab a bit of attention when it is revealed that these two boys will now work as ghost catchers. Hearing this, the work of catching ghosts, one gets such a laugh. But when these boys go to catch ghosts and take out ghosts from inside someone, the scene after that creates drama and comedy and you laugh for a while.
- You also get to see the cast of Fukrey movie at one place in the film and when this scene comes, you automatically laugh.
- The kind of costumes the three characters wear to exorcise the ghosts seem interesting and innovative.
- The film also keeps you hooked for a while with the help of its visuals and comedy.
- In one place Gullu and Major go to exorcise the ghost of a girl child. A Tamilian ghost is inside that girl, Gullu pacifies that ghost by showing Rajinikanth’s photo. You are bound to laugh in this scene.
- The film gets a little emotional at some places in the middle. Whatever are the exorcism scenes and the story of those ghosts that why they have entered the people, when the ghosts tell their story, you also get to see a little emotional part.
- The first half of the film ends with some comedy and some weak script but in the second half there is neither comedy nor any emotional moment in the film. Rather, in the second half of the film, anything, anywhere, is happening headlessly.
- Bhidu i.e. Jackie Da is also used well in the story but justice is not seen with him. Sometimes it seems like thinking after all, Jackie Da has said yes to the film.
- The film is a mixed story of many things. It also has background score of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Main Nikla Gad Lekar and Heropanti. There is also meme material. OLX advertising is also used. Accordingly, the film starts looking like a meme material.
- In the second part of the film, you also feel sleepy, you also feel like leaving the film and once again the makers get angry that why this film was made.
If you are fond of meme material and you don’t mind giving your 2 hours 15 minutes to any meme material-like script then you can watch this movie. In the film, you will get comedy, on which there will be no rolls but yes you will keep laughing while eating popcorn. If you are bored sitting at home, there is nothing to do, then you can watch this movie for some time, your time will pass. If your kids are bothering you then you can show them this movie because after that the kids will get lost in this movie and comedy of this movie and you can even sleep a little in the theater chair.
Although I always hand over a few dialogues of the film to you, but there are no such dialogues in it, which you have not heard. Most of the comedy dialogues often come in front of you in the form of memes, just the same dialogue is used in the film. This film gets 2 stars from my side, that too after a lot of tussle. The film has big names like Katrina Kaif, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ishaan Khattar and producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, but after watching the film, you will come to know that in reality the film fits the idiom like “Naam Bade and Darshan Chhote”.
