Mumbai. South Indian star Allu Arjun talked about plans to expand the ‘Pushpa’ franchise, which was first released in 2021. Talking about ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, Allu said, “You can definitely look forward to the third part, we want to make it a franchise and we have exciting ideas for the lineup.” Speaking to Variety, Allu said, “A reel of the Pushpa franchise is being shown at the Berlin European Film Market to establish it as a brand for the international audience.”
Allu Arjun further said, “There will also be a fan screening of ‘Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1’.” Arjun will be attending a film festival for the first time. Arjun said, “I just want to see how people abroad see this film. I want to try to understand how they see Indian cinema.”
Allu Arjun further said, “Just want to understand how film festivals are held and what kind of films are watched. What is the mentality of the people coming there.” ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is the story of Pushpa Raj, who is a labourer. He joins a red sandalwood smuggling syndicate and encounters a police officer.
‘Pushpa 2: The Rise’ got worldwide recognition from OTT
Allu Arjun said, “The reach of OTT (streaming) is many times more than the theatrical reach of Pushpa. Many people may have seen it only once or twice during its theatrical release. But, after it became available on the OTT platform, people have watched it many times. “Because of the OTT platform, there are a lot of crossover audiences from other languages, other regions and neighboring countries.”
‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ release date
Allu Arjun said, “I did not find any significant difference between the way Indians saw the film and the way foreigners saw the film. I think urban Indians are like a global audience.” ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is going to be released around August 15.
