There is one such actor in Bollywood who had put everything at stake for the sake of his dreams and despite facing disappointment many times, he did not give up and continued to make his dreams come true. That actor is none other than ‘Family Man’ Manoj Bajpayee.
Manoj Bajpayee’s film journey is well known. The whole world knows about the actor’s struggles, but very few people know that he wanted to start his acting journey from the prestigious acting school ‘National School of Drama’, but he got rejected thrice from there. Inspired by veteran actors like Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri, Manoj Bajpayee also wanted to study from the National School of Drama and hence he applied thrice, but he was disappointed all the three times.
After being rejected from NSD thrice, on the advice of Raghubir Yadav, Manoj Bajpayee attended Barry John’s workshop and after that applied for NSD once again. However, for the fourth time he was accepted as a teacher instead of a student. Manoj Bajpayee made his Bollywood debut in 1994 with the film ‘Bandit Queen’.

After working in many films, Manoj Bajpayee made a big impact on OTT. He has been a part of films and web series on OTT like ‘Gulmohar’, ‘Sirf Ek Banda Kafi Hai’, ‘Bhonsle’, ‘Familyman’, ‘Tandav’, ‘Killer Soup’, ‘Zoram’. Recently, the actor spoke openly about his acting career during the promotion of ‘Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout’.
Manoj Bajpayee is the slave of the director
Regarding playing each character efficiently, he says, ‘I try to be a true slave of my director. It was great to collaborate with everyone once again. Apart from this, I don’t do anything extra, just focus on the work and the demands of the work and listen to the instructions of the director.
