Political tension continues over the film ‘The Kashmir Files’. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has surrounded the BJP in the name of Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’. Pawar has alleged that the saffron party i.e. BJP is spreading ‘false propaganda’ about the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits through this film and is creating a ‘poisonous environment’ in the country.
Screening should not be allowed: Addressing a convention of his party’s minority department in Delhi on Thursday, he said, “Such a film should not have been allowed to be screened.” But it was made tax free. Those who should unite the country are encouraging people to watch this outrageous film.
Muslims were also targeted: Pawar said that it is true that Kashmiri Pandits had to leave the Valley in 1990, but at that time even Muslims were not spared, they were also targeted. He said that Pakistan’s terrorist organizations were responsible for the attacks that took place at that time.
BJP is targeting Arvind Kejriwal: He has also attacked the BJP for inciting Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s remarks. He said Kejriwal was criticized for talking in the interest of minorities. But BJP is taking the country to another path which will destroy the unity of the country.
