Web series to be released on MX Player and Alt Balaji from August 20
Mumbai, (IANS)| Actress Tannishtha Chatterjee, who has been seen opposite Brett Lee in films like “Angry Indian Goddesses”, “Pachard” and “UnIndian”, has joined the cast of the upcoming action-drama “Cartel”. She plays the pivotal role of a writer ‘Romila’ opposite Madhu Bhau (essayed by Jitendra Joshi) in the ‘Cartel’ series. The actress will be seen doing pole dancing in a sequence.
Talking about her character, Tannishtha quipped that, “Romila is a very fiery character. She is the master of her body, her mind and her sexuality. But behind all her outward strength, there is a veil of rejection. There is pain. It was a complicated mix of what interested me to play the role of Romila. I was really interested in playing someone that most people wouldn’t see me. Romila is a very different character from my real personality and yes, Pol Dance was one of the highlights for me as well.” ‘Cartel’ will be streaming on Alt Balaji from August 20.
