New Delhi: Surya Kiran breathed his last on March 11 at his residence in Chennai. The actor was only 48 years old. He was suffering from jaundice. He was struggling with health related problems for the last few years. He was born in Chennai. He started his career as a child artist. He had worked in more than 200 Telugu and Tamil films. His stage name was Master Suresh. He had worked in South Cinema in films like ‘Oru Pennu’, ‘Snehikan’, ‘Kadal Meengal’.
Surya Kiran directed the Genelia D’Souza and Sumanth starrer film ‘Satyam’ in the year 2003, which was a blockbuster at the box office and remained in theaters for about 100 days. He made four more films, but none got as much success as the film ‘Satyam’. The last film made under his direction was ‘Chapter 6’, which was released in 2010. The director surprised everyone by entering the fourth season of ‘Bigg Boss Telugu’ after almost 10 years.

Surya Kiran could not last long in ‘Bigg Boss Telugu’. He left the show on day 7. He was married to actress Kalyani for some time. Both of them had taken divorce. His younger sister Sujitha is also an actress, who has worked in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films. His close ones and fans are very sad and shocked by the sudden demise of Surya Kiran.
