The application for banning the film was made in the court: The film depicts the horrific scene that took place in Kashmir in the 1990s, when there was a massacre. It was being claimed that this film is a ‘propaganda film’, which can hurt religious sentiments. For which there was also a demand to ban this film in the court.

Retweeting his tweet, Kumar Vishwas wrote, “Films made on the “heard” tales of the 80-year-old world war are “necessary documents of the times” for some people, but a film on a “naked helpless truth” that happened before the eyes. Commenting on YouTube, Ashish Chachlani wrote, “My father had said, #TheKashmiriFiles will cross 200 crores at the box office. I went to my house today, I was stuck in my own parking lot for half an hour. I think his prediction will be absolutely correct. The film has already broken records.”
Tickets are not available in theatres: The film released on March 11, after which it is becoming difficult to get tickets for the film. The film has been released in around 655 screens. But due to being housefull, many viewers have to wait.
Big bang at the box office: It is worth noting that this film has created a ruckus at the box office on the very second day of its release. This film is running housefull in every cinema hall. It has registered a jump of 139.44 per cent in its second day box office collection. The film has so far done a business of more than 12 crores in India. According to film analyst Komal Nahata, by Wednesday, the film will make a box office collection of 50 crores.
