Bollywood actor Anupam Kher’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’ faced many controversies before its release. However, despite all the hindrances, ‘The Kashmir Files’ has been released in theaters today. But now reports are coming that a Jammu and Kashmir court on Thursday, just a day before the release of the film, has ordered the makers to modify the scenes based on the late IAF Squadron Leader ‘Ravi Khanna’ in the film.
What was the whole matter?
In fact, Nirmala, the wife of Indian Air Force martyr ‘Ravi Khanna’, had filed a petition in the court against Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’. The wife of Squadron Leader Ravi Kanna has appealed to the court to remove the scenes depicting her husband in the film. She claimed that the facts shown in the film are contrary to what happened to her husband.
Who was Ravi Khanna?
Significantly, Squadron Leader Ravi Khanna was one of the four IAF personnel who were allegedly martyred in Srinagar on January 25, 1990. They were attacked by Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Yasin Malik and his associates.
Court ordered the makers
Additional District Judge Deepak Sethi, in the order given to the makers, said that “In view of the facts stated by Ravi Khanna’s wife, the film has been barred from showing the scenes depicting the works related to martyr Squadron Leader Ravi Kanna”. ” The judge further says that this order can be challenged by Vivek Agnihotri or he can satisfy the complainant by modifying the film.
