Controversy has arisen all over the country regarding the film Kashmir Files. Some people have been accused of spreading propaganda through this film, while some people say that through this film the truth of Kashmiri Pandits has come to the fore, which most people were unaware of. However, now allegations and counter allegations have started regarding some of the facts shown in the film.
The claim is being made about the number of Kashmiri Pandits: A poster is becoming very viral on social media. In which questions have been raised about the number of Kashmiri Pandits killed in Kashmir. It is written in the poster that the number of Kashmiri Pandits killed in the genocide since 1989 is four thousand according to Vivek Agnihotri. According to Kashmiri Pandit Sangharsh Samiti, this figure is 650. According to RSS publication in 1991 is 600. While the government believes that the number of Kashmiri Pandits who died in the massacre is only 219.
This argument is being given on the note containing Jinnah’s photo: On the other hand, there is a controversy about another scene. At one point in the film, a note with Jinnah’s picture is mentioned by Anupam Kher. In one of the scenes, Anupam Kher tells a shopkeeper that “Why is there no photo of Gandhi in place of Jinnah on the note? Do notes printed on Jinnah work in Kashmir? In this scene of the film, the allegation of spreading lies is being argued that the notes with “Gandhi imprint” were issued in 1996. Before 1996, the Ashoka Pillar used to replace Gandhi. Whereas this film is based on the events of 1980-90s.
People are giving their feedback on social media regarding this claim being made about the film. A user named F Khan wrote that “It is a well thought out conspiracy to spread sensation and hatred by lying. Vivek is following the orders of the BJP government. They show 4000 or even 40000. A user named Aditya Milan wrote that “219 killed or 4000, but the question arises who killed them? Can anyone pay the price for a single life? Or does being ‘just’ 219 end the crime of the killer?”
Another user wrote that “According to government data, no one has died in the country due to lack of oxygen, so why don’t you accept it as true?” A user named Devil wrote that “How night and day were united for 1 Akhlaq. The editorial pages of all the newspapers were being painted and filled. There were 100 or 6000 or there were lakhs, will the judgment pass on this basis?
