E-Shram Card : The central government had started the e-shram card to keep the data of the workers of the unorganized sector and to provide them financial help from the government. Through this card, some state governments are depositing 500 rupees a month in the account of workers. Apart from this, accidental insurance of Rs 2 lakh is also given by the central government to the e-shram card holders. If you are also going to get e-shram card, then you should beware of fraudsters. Because many websites similar to e-shram portal have not been prepared by fraudsters.
PIB issued alert – PIB has posted a tweet from its official Twitter handle. In which it has been told that the fraudsters have created a website similar to the e-shram portal and through these websites are misleading the people registering on the e-shram portal. At the same time, PIB Fact Check has written on its official Twitter that for registration on the e-shram portal, visit the official portal of e-shram only.
How to register on e-SHRAM? Registration on the e-shram portal is absolutely free. You will have to visit the most e-shram portal (eshram.gov.in) to do this work. There on the side of the home page you will get the option of ‘Register on E-shram’, on clicking on which you will be redirected to the new page. There you will have to go through the process of self-registration.
You will have to fill the mobile number linked with the Aadhar card and the captcha code present in the front. Also, you have to tell whether you are a member of EPFO or ESIC or not. After giving all this information, you will have to complete the process by asking for a One Time Password (OTP) on your number.
Explain that to register on the e-shram portal, you must have Aadhar card number, active mobile number linked with Aadhar and bank account details. They will be needed in the process. Also your age should be between 16-59 years.
