This film released in 2007 was ‘Billa the Don’. Ajit Kumar’s fans will once again get a chance to see Billa in theatres. Arvind Suresh Kumar and Dr Gyan Barathi of GB Entertainment are releasing the film on 1st May in more than 150 screens across Tamil Nadu through ATM Productions.
‘Billa’ was a remake of Rajinikanth’s film released in 1980. Rajinikanth’s film was also a remake of Bollywood. This film was ‘Don’, released in 1978, which made Amitabh Bachchan an angry young man.
Ajith Kumar’s Billa was released in 2007 on 200 screens in Tamil Nadu and 50 screens abroad. Vishnuvardhan and Ajit Kumar’s Badla made a great record at the box office. Along with Ajit Kumar’s double role, Nayanthara and other actors showed their brilliant acting skills.
According to media reports, this film was made 17 years ago with a budget of Rs 15 crore. This film ran in theaters for 75 days and proved to be a blockbuster film. Billa was directed by Vishnuvardhan.
