New Delhi: Four maestros from the world of music arrived in News 18’s special program ‘Rising Bharat’. Apart from singer and composer Shankar Mahadevan, flute player Rakesh Chaurasia, percussionist V. Selvaganesh and violinist Ganesh Rajagopalan came on stage and expressed their views on India and Indianness. All the stars were missing the famous tabla player Zahir Hussain on the stage.
Famous personalities from the world of music are part of ‘Shakti Band’, which has brought glory to the country by winning the Grammy Awards in different categories for ‘This Moment’ at the Grammy Awards 2024. Shankar Mahadevan remembered the period on stage, when he worked a lot with musicians in Europe and did concerts. V. Selvaganesh said on the country, ‘India is a world power and the Prime Minister of India was also nominated for the Grammy Award.’ For Rakesh Chaurasia, India is like breathing.
