Mumbai,(IANS)| Model-turned-actress Urvashi Rautela says her popularity in the Middle East has increased over time, mainly due to her music videos. Apart from her films, Urvashi is also known for her scintillating music videos including the recently released ‘Versace Baby’. The actress is currently busy with three film projects.She further adds that such a wide reach helps her to experiment with films of her choice in the near future.
Urvashi told IANS, “I think over time and the number of music videos I have appeared in, people from the Middle East have come to know me and I have got a huge fan base there in the Arab world. Every time I am there When I go, many countries – Egypt, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Dubai – people recognize me and our Bollywood music because of those videos. So it’s a great feeling.”The actress also recently featured in a music video titled ‘Versace Baby’ with Arab superstar Mohamed Ramzan. So far this song has got 20 million views on YouTube and people are liking it all over the world.
The actress said, “My collaboration with Ramzan for the song ‘Vasarche Baby’ is really special, as it is one of the most expensive music videos produced in recent times and he is a multi-talented person. He is from Egypt. And a great actor, composer and producer. Our collaboration was supposed to happen in 2019 but it didn’t materialize and then the global pandemic happened. However, it’s the start of a wonderful time and now I have interesting film projects as well. There is also work in the form of international cooperation.”In the same year, Urvashi was seen in music videos like ‘Teri Load Ve’, ‘Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhagi Si’ and ‘Dob Gaye’.
She has finished work on the web series ‘Inspector Avinash’ with Randeep Hooda and is currently working on the film ‘Dil Hai Grey’ which also stars Vineet Kumar and Akshay Oberoi.Apart from Hindi films and shows, she is also debuting in Tamil with the film ‘The Legend’ opposite Saravana. She will also be seen in multilingual film ‘Black Rose’.
