Om Prakash’s love story was also no less than a film story. In an interview, he had told that once he had fallen in love with a Sikh girl but the girl’s family members were against him because he was a Hindu. His mother also went to talk to the girl but her family members did not agree. One day Omprakash was standing at a paan shop when a widowed woman came and begged Omprakash to marry her eldest daughter. According to Omprakash’s autobiography, the woman said that she was a widow and had four daughters, the eldest being 16 years old. She wanted to make me son-in-law. He had already talked to my mother about this. He spread his pallu in front of me and begged that I should marry his daughter. What was then, I forgot my love and married that woman’s girl.
Along with acting, Om Prakash also tried his hand in film production. It was Omprakash who started the trend of guest roles in films.
