Deepika Padukone has earned a big name in the Bollywood industry, but do you know that when she came to Mumbai, her life was like a normal person. During her studies in college, she decided to pursue a career in modeling due to her tall stature and tight saddle. Over the years she has modeled for renowned Indian brands like Liril, Dabur, Close-up Toothpaste and Limca. She has received several prestigious modeling offers including the brand representation of Jewels of India in India.
After achieving success in the modeling journey, she stepped into the field of acting. This she made her acting debut in the song ‘Naam Hai Tera’ from the music video for Himesh Reshammiya’s independent pop album ‘Aap Ka Suroor’. Deepika Padukone has made a disclosure in one of her interviews, she told that she had to face floods when she was studying in acting school in No Juhu.
Deepika told, “I was caught in the flood. In 2005 I was studying in acting school in Juhu. When we came out of our class, we saw the whole Khar and Santa Cruz was submerged. Me and my friends waist till waist. Were walking in water. I used to live in Andheri then but could not go home as the whole area was submerged in water.”
Let us tell you that in 2005 the city of Mumbai had to face heavy rains and floods. Due to this thousands of houses were destroyed and many people lost their lives. In such a situation, Deepika Padukone also raised difficulties. Deepika further added, “Then my friends offered me to stay at their house, as they lived nearby. I think then it took us two to three hours to go from Ajivasan to the linking road (about one and a half kilometres) We were walking by holding on to the divider. Obviously it was scary because there could be gutters and open electrical wires.”

Let me tell you, Deepika’s film ‘Ghehraiyaan’ has been released recently, in this film she is also present with Bollywood’s best stars like Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Pandey and Dhairya Karva. The film has been released on Amazon Prime, after which it has been a topic of constant discussion. People are appreciating Deepika’s acting very much in this film.
