Generally, the first means of transport of people’s life is the bicycle, in a country like India, the use of bicycle is seen the most. Even today, most people travel by bicycle in rural areas. But what if your regular bicycle sprints on the road like an electric scooter and for this you just need to install a device in your cycle. The country’s leading industrialist Anand Mahindra has shared a video of a similar device on the social networking site Twitter, Anand Mahindra has been so impressed with this device that he has even offered to invest for it.
Anand Mahindra has always been known for sharing interesting and inspiring posts on Twitter. This time too, keeping in mind the need of the common people, he has shared a video of a very cool device. It is not a bulky device with a very large mechanism, but it can be easily placed in the middle of the frame of a normal bicycle. This device has been developed by Dhruv Vidhyut, which can be converted into an electric bicycle by installing it in any regular cycle.
What’s special about this device:
This 2.20 second video shared by Anand Mahindra gives a brief overview of the device, but there is a lot to be learned in it. Accordingly, this device can be fitted with any brand of model like regular cycle (Hero, Atlas) through nut-bolt. It will be mounted in the middle of the frame of the bicycle, just above the pedals. Its creators claim that after applying it, if the pedal of the bicycle is run for 20 minutes, then it charges the device up to 50%.
After installing this device in the frame, it will be connected to the accelerator given on the handle bar of the bicycle and there is also an ignition switch. Which works exactly like an electric vehicle. According to the claim, the maximum speed of this cycle is 25 kilometers per hour and it is capable of lifting a load of about 170 kg.
Once fully charged, this device is capable of giving a riding range of up to 40 kms. The most important thing is that this device is designed in such a way that it is completely safe even in fire, water or mud. A demo of this has also been given in this video. The charging inlet and USB charging port are also provided in the frame of this device. It can be charged easily by connecting to a normal household socket.
Anand Mahindra gave this offer:
Sharing the video, Anand Mahindra wrote, “It’s not the world’s first cycling device that equips a bicycle with a motor, but it’s an excellent, compact and efficient design that’s rugged- Works even better in mud-like roads, making it an off-roader!”
In another post, Mahindra wrote, “But what I appreciate the most is his empathy and passion for the working people for whom the bicycle is still the primary mode of transport. This is a good reminder for all the automakers who are focusing on electric vehicles.”
Anand Mahindra wrote in his third tweet that, “It is not necessary that this device will be commercially successful or quite profitable, but I would still feel proud to be an investor… maker).”
