Actress Mallika Sherawat, who is known for her bold performance in Bollywood films, has made a shocking disclosure. Sharing her experience on the casting couch, Mallika said that she had to pay a heavy price for bold films. Due to films like Murder, he got a wrong image in Bollywood. In an interview, Mallika shared her pain and told that actors and directors used to ask her to be intimate.
Mallika said that after my bold look in the 2004 film ‘Murder’, people started forming their opinion about me. After that role, people started raising questions about my character. Mallika said that if you wear short clothes, kiss on screen then you are a fallen woman. People are trying to take advantage of this thing and all this has happened to me in real life.
‘Excluded from films for not being intimate’
Women all over the world are sharing the pain of sexual harassment with people. Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat has also admitted to facing casting couch for the first time. In an interview to PTI, Mallika told that her co-stars used to ask her to be intimate off-screen and for not doing so, she had to lose many projects. Mallika said, ‘I was thrown out of many projects because the hero used to say why can’t you be intimate with me?’
The director used to ask to meet at 3 o’clock in the night.
There was a time when directors used to call me and ask me to meet at 3 o’clock in the night. Mallika said that she was afraid to talk about it as she was afraid of people’s judgment. ‘I was very scared because I thought everyone would accuse me that I must have instigated the director to say this. There is a habit of blaming the victim in our society and that’s why I was scared to say these things.’ Mallika said that she was very scared of all this.
