Vipul Amrutlal Shah has reacted to the ban on his film The Kerala Story in West Bengal. Talking about this and talking about theater owners in Tamil Nadu stopping the screening, he said in the press conference, ‘If they have done this, we will take legal action. Whatever is possible under the provisions of law, we will fight.
‘Film stopped because of one man’
Vipul Shah is happy with the response he is getting from the public for ‘The Kerala Story’ and has also thanked everyone. When the film was not released in Tamil Nadu, Vipul Shah appealed to the Tamil Nadu government to release the film. Vipul Shah said, ‘The release is being stopped because of one man, which is wrong. If the film is being stopped after being cleared by the court, then the person who stopped it should be answered. We will take legal action, follow the law, if the film is stopped in West Bengal, we will fight the legal battle, will take action according to the law. He replied to those who termed the film as agenda or propaganda that ‘this is the issue of the country which we showed on cinema’.
‘Will go to High Court for film release’
Vipul further said, ‘Thank you very much to the people of the country, people are watching the film in large numbers. Watch this movie as much as possible because the subject is very important. Honorable PM Modi ji also talked about this film. Some people supported the film, some opposed it, but now this film cannot be ignored at the national level. This is an achievement for us. In Tamil Nadu, it has been prevented from releasing by threatening only one person. One person has controlled by threatening. I request the DMK and Congress government of Tamil Nadu to take the strictest action against this and release this film in Tamil Nadu tomorrow morning. Some people had filed a petition in the Chennai High Court, which has been rejected by the High Court.
