Sahibganj, December 15 (IANS). ‘Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Yojana’ being run by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the poor is proving to be a boon.
Under this scheme, beneficiaries can get treatment worth Rs 5 lakh annually. The special thing is that under this scheme, patients can go and get treatment in hospitals registered anywhere in the country. To join this scheme, a large number of people are turning to the centers where Ayushman cards are being made.
In Sahibganj, Jharkhand, people are getting Ayushman cards made under ‘Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana’.
Aman Kumar Pandey, coordinator of Ayushman Bharat scheme at Sahibganj Sadar Hospital, said, “Whoever gets registered under Ayushman Bharat scheme will get treatment worth Rs 5 lakh annually. They will not have to pay any premium in any way. When the patient comes to the hospital, he will be admitted. After this they will be treated for free. Therefore, definitely make Ayushman card.
He further said, “When people above 70 years of age come for treatment under this scheme, they must bring Aadhar card with them and on the other hand, patients who are below 70 years of age must bring ration card and Aadhar card with them.” He said that a large number of people are coming to Ayushman centers to get Ayushman cards made, including those who are above 70 years of age.
A woman has told that I have made Ayushman card. With the creation of this card, we will get treatment worth Rs 5 lakh annually. If we ever face any problem in future, we can get treatment. We want to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this scheme.
Khushboo Kumari has said that I am getting Ayushman card made under ration card. After joining this scheme, we will get treatment worth Rs 5 lakh. If we get treatment in a hospital registered under this scheme, we will not have to pay any money.
Shakti Devi (elderly woman) said that Ayushman is getting the card made. I remain ill. Now if my card is made under this scheme, I can get free treatment in the hospital.
Another elderly man said, “I am 70 years old. I have come to get the Ayushman card made. I want to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing this scheme.”
