Mumbai, May 27 (IANS). Every year on May 28, Mestruel Hygiene Day or Periods Hygiene Day is observed. On this occasion, actress Sandipa Dhar was seen talking on Periods Hygiene. He believes that basic hygiene in the country is still a privilege and celebrities have the responsibility to move forward in it.
Sandipa said, “Come, make the things related to periods normal. Support the initiatives that provide sanitary pads and work towards menstrual hygiene.”
They believe that every small step matters. Dhar said, “Whether it is a packet, conversation or a small donation. It is our duty for our sisters, daughters, friends and millions of girls who deserve better than this.”
Earlier, Nimrat Kaur attended the period hygiene campaign and distributed kits.
The menstrual care kit to be distributed has materials running throughout the month – including sanitary pads, disposable pouches, and essential things related to hygiene. Along with these things, a small book is also included, which states how to keep themselves fine during periods.
Nimrat said, “Menstruation is an essential, natural and important part of any woman’s health. Still it is wrapped in silence. People do not talk about it, girls feel hesitant, especially in backward areas. Divisional related things will benefit from sharing these places. I hope that this effort not only fulfills the lack of life, but also makes the negotiations of life, but also ensure the conversation of the girls. So that any girl does not have to feel embarrassed about this subject or does not have to leave school. “
