New Delhi, March 11 (IANS). The long palm tree and its green-green leaves not only look beautiful, but they have special significance in Ayurveda due to their merits. Every part of the palm tree is full of features. Be it leaves or bark or its stem, it is considered rich in medicinal properties and is used in the treatment of many diseases. Let’s know about some features related to palm tree.
Actually, the palm tree is tall and straight and its tree does not contain branches, but leaves come out of its stem. It is also called Kalpavriksha. The toddy emanating from the palm tree is very popular in the country and is also used in many festivals.
If you look at the benefits associated with the palm tree, it is considered very effective in urine and stomach related problems. It is said that the toddy coming out of the palm tree is cold, which is very beneficial for the stomach. Apart from this, it has also been considered beneficial for urinary diseases, eye coming, vata and bile. Drinking the juice of palm leaves mixed with fruits also provides relief from irritation during urine.
According to the information, ‘Tadgola’ found on palm tree also has many benefits. It is rich in fiber, which works to speed up metabolism and also maintain digestion. Also, it is considered effective in removing the problem of constipation.
Apart from this, palm leaves and bark are also considered very useful. It can also be used by making juice and decoction of palm leaves, powder of bark. If there is a problem of infection or itching in the surrounding part of the eyes, then the juice of palm leaf is effective for it.
Also, consuming the juice of leaves as a decoction prevents liver related diseases and the powder of palm bark is also considered beneficial for liver. The palm has also been considered useful in fever due to typhoid.
