Wash properly: Blood creates a favorable environment for bacteria to grow during periods, so wash the genital area at least twice a day. Although don’t wash your vagina too thoroughly, it can upset your pH balance, putting you at risk for yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis.
Keep the vaginal area dry: Wipe the vagina immediately after discharging urine in summer, keep the vagina dry in this season. Wetness can promote bacterial growth and cause irritation. You can also use antiseptic powder on the vagina.
