Accident in Ramban in Jammu and Kashmir, army vehicle fell into a ditch, three soldiers killed

In Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, three military personnel were killed when a vehicle slipped from a road to 700 feet deep on Sunday.

Officials said the army truck was part of the convoy going from Jammu to Srinagar on National Highway 44, when the accident occurred near the battery glasses at around 11.30 am.

He said that an immediate joint rescue operation was started by the Army, Police, SDRF and local volunteers and three soldiers in the vehicle were found dead on the spot.

Officials said that the deceased have been identified as soldiers Amit Kumar, Sujit Kumar and Man Bahadur and their bodies are being removed from the ditch. He said that due to the accident, the vehicle was damaged and turned into a metal heap.
