New Delhi. DNA matching continues to identify bodies in the Air India aircraft accident case in Ahmedabad. So far, 190 dead have been identified with the DNA test. 159 bodies have been handed over to their families. DNA is also being matched for the remaining bodies. Superintendent of Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, Dr. Rakesh Joshi said that among the 159 bodies assigned to their families after DNA matching, 123 Indians, 4 Portuguese, 27 UK citizens, 1 Canadian and 4 non -passengers who were local citizens.

At the same time, Dr. Joshi said that he is completely healthy about the only living passenger trust in the plane. His family and cousin have come here from the UK and have been discharged from the hospital. On the other hand, a new information has been revealed about the crashed flight number AI171. Aaj Tak has told in its news that an engine of this Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft was changed in March this year. Apart from this, the detail maintenance check of the aircraft was also conducted in June 2023. The aircraft was to be investigated again in December this year, but before that an accident took place.

Let us tell you that 241 have died out of 242 people aboard the plane in this plane crash. At the same time, 33 other local citizens were also killed, mostly residents of BJ Medical College, resident doctors and medical staff. In fact, the building on which the aircraft crashed immediately after takeoff was a hostel of doctors of the medical college where lunch was going on. Apart from this building, many nearby buildings were also damaged. The Tata Group and Air India have announced compensation to the families of all the deceased.
