According to PTI, sources have informed that two radical or terrorist organizations in Bangladesh, Jamaat-ul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) and Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT), allegedly involved in violence in Murshidabad, West Bengal. Sources, citing this intelligence report, claimed that the violence in Murshidabad was carried out by Bangladeshi miscreants and allegedly helped the local leaders of a political party.

The Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen is a banned terrorist group to be operated from Bangladesh. This organization also belongs to Lashkar-e-Taiba, Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami and ISIS. The organization is accused of exploding hundreds of bombs. The Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen was banned by the Government of Bangladesh in 2005. In India too, Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh or Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen India or Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Hindustan and all its organizations are banned. At the same time, Ansarullah Bangla team is also a terrorist organization run by Bangladesh. Between 2013 and 2015, the organization attacked and murdered several atheist bloggers. Many members of this terrorist organization have also been caught in India.
Home Ministry’s eye on the situation in Murshidabad
Violence took place in several areas including Sati, Dhulian and Jangipur in Murshidabad on Friday and Saturday, killing at least three people. A large number of BSF, CRPF, State Police and RAF personnel have been deployed in Jangipur, Dhulian, Suti and Shamsherganj. According to officials, the situation in the area is gradually becoming normal. The Union Home Ministry is also monitoring the situation in Murshidabad. BSF has been asked to keep a strict monitoring on the Indo-Bangladesh border so that illegal infiltration can not be done in Bengal. (input language)
