A new challenge has come up for Indian travelers. According to Henley Passport Index 2025, India’s passport has moved one place to 81st position in the global rankings. This provides limited access to Indian citizens for visa-free travel to only 58 countries.
There are still many best visa-free options
Although Indians still need a visa for the US, Britain and most European countries, there are many countries that provide visa-free or visa-on-arrow facility to Indian passport holders.
Some of these major tourist destinations are:
Indonesia, Maldives, Thailand, Kenya, Mauritius – These countries are known for their beautiful beaches and cultural heritage.
Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka – Neighbors countries that are easily and suitable for traveling at low cost.
Laos, Madagascar, Fiji and Zimbabwe – for offbeat and exciting travel experiences.
