Patna. In Bihar, the names of more than 35 lakh people are going to be sorted by the Election Commission in the initial phase of the special revision program of voters. The Election Commission has said that so far 88.18 percent i.e. 6.6 crore voters have submitted special revision form in Bihar. Special revision forms of the remaining voters will be submitted by 25 July. After this, the voter list will be issued and the names included in it will be taken claim and objection.
According to the latest figures released by the Election Commission, so far 1.59 percent i.e. 12.5 lakh voters have been reported to have died. At the same time, 2.2 percent i.e. 17.5 lakh voters have permanently gone out of Bihar and no longer vote in the state. Apart from this, in the initial stages of special revision, it has been found that 0.73 percent i.e. about 5.5 lakh people are in the voter list of more than one place. If you look at all these figures, the names of about 35.5 lakh voters will be removed from the new list. The figure of these removing names will be 4.5 percent. Sources in the Election Commission had also said earlier that the intruders of Nepal, Bangladesh and Myanmar have also been detected to be voters in Bihar. His names are also to be cut after verification.
Elections for 243 assembly seats are to be held in Bihar this year. In such a situation, a new voter list will be released by 30 September. After special revision work of voters, in the month of August, verification will be done from house to house on the basis of documents submitted by every voter. After which the voter list is to be released. At the same time, a petition has also been filed in the Supreme Court against the special revision of voters. This petition has been heard once. The court did not stop the revision, but had asked the Election Commission to consider including Aadhaar and ration cards in the documents of special revision of voters. The next hearing in the Supreme Court is on 28 July.
