Ending the wait for the increase in dearness allowance, Chief Minister Atishi announced in the Delhi Secretariat on Wednesday that now the workers of the capital will get an increase of Rs 572 to Rs 700 every month. With this step of the Delhi government, the workers of Delhi will get the highest minimum wage in the entire country.
Delhi government again showed a big heart
Chief Minister Atishi said in a press conference that the Delhi government under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal has always worked to provide a better life to the common people. In the last ten years, along with facilities like free electricity, good schools, and free bus travel, the highest salary has also been arranged for the workers of Delhi.
Labour Minister Mukesh Mahalwat was also present with Atishi, who said that this increase in the wages of the workers has been done after a wait of seven months. He said, “The workers working in Delhi get the highest dearness allowance and minimum wages, and this is the first priority of our government.”

Provision of increasing dearness allowance twice a year
Atishi said that the Delhi government has not only increased the minimum wages of workers, but has also made a provision to increase dearness allowance twice a year. Taking the BJP and the Lieutenant Governor to task, she said, “The BJP and LG opposed the wage hike for workers, but we fought and got it implemented.”
