Created fake Instagram account of classmate to trap him, threatened to explode in Mahakumbh

When the fair police interrogated the student accused of threatening to cause a bomb blast in the Mahakumbh fair, it was revealed that he had created a fake Instagram account of his classmate to trap him and posted a message threatening a blast in the Mahakumbh.

The police took the accused student into custody in Purnia, Bihar on Saturday and brought him to Prayagraj for questioning on Sunday.

Giving this information, Senior Superintendent of Police (Kumbh) Rajesh Dwivedi said that the accused teenager is a class 11th student and to implicate his classmate in some matter, he created a fake Instagram account in his name and made this threatening message viral.

He told that the accused student created a fake account in the name of his friend and shared a derogatory and inflammatory post through it in which he threatened to kill 1000 people during the Maha Kumbh.

Dwivedi said that a case was registered in this case at Mela Kotwali police station under relevant sections of BNS and IT Act and three teams were deployed to investigate the matter.

He told that on Sunday the accused minor student was sent to the observation home.
